abstract = {The Visual RetrievalWare Software Developers Kit (SDK)
provides tools for writing programs that manipulate digital image files
and their visual contents. It provides APIs for processing images,
including: loading, saving, cutting, pasting, rotating, scaling,
dithering, quantizing, enhancing, analyzing, and more. Functions are
provided to reduce an image to a condensed descriptor called a feature
vector, which can then be indexed and cross referenced to the image
itself.
Visual RetrievalWare's literal image content matching ability can be
useful for a vast range of enterprises, including fingerprint, face,
and character recognition applications, photo or video cataloging, as
well as quality control, surveillance, template matching, and many
other machine vision applications.},
